Accenture was recently awarded six prestigious country-level Oracle Excellence Awards, earning a current total of 19 Oracle Excellence Awards across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific in the last 12 months alone. These six newest awards recognize Accenture for its contributions across various areas of IT, specifically in the European region:
Specialized Partner of the Year, Engineered Systems – Denmark
Specialized Partner of the Year, Cloud PaaS – Finland
Specialized Partner of the Year, Business Analytics – Norway
Specialized Partner of the Year, Systems Integrator – Sweden
Specialized Partner of the Year, Infrastructure-as-a-Service – Germany
Systems Integrator of the Year, Cloud CX – Italy
In the past year, Accenture’s Oracle practice has added Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings to its existing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) capabilities, and achieved Oracle Global Cloud Elite status – one of the highest levels attainable in the Oracle PartnerNetwork. As an example of its growing Oracle IaaS capability, Accenture recently helped DNA, a Finnish telecommunication company, to set-up the Infrastructure Oracle Cloud environment that enabled DNA to test the performance and scalability of Oracle’s Public Cloud. Thomas Antila, database manager, DNA said,”Accenture created for DNA a 12c container in the Oracle IaaS Cloud with three databases in less than a day.”
“These awards are a testament to the contributions of the Accenture team, making it a banner year for the Accenture and Oracle relationship, which now spans more than two decades,” said Terri Strauss, managing director of Oracle business for Accenture. “Our efforts to drive innovation and automation, develop ideal solutions and build expertise in the New IT have made Accenture a leader in cloud delivery.”
The Oracle Excellence Awards for Specialized Partner of the Year reflect Accenture’s capability in various segments of innovation. The award for engineered systems was won in Denmark for Accenture’s contributions to Oracle’s strategy to generate new business with engineered systems, while the system integrator award won in Sweden was the result of favorable implementations related to engineered systems, industry applications and cloud. Finland was recognized for its Riga, Latvia Oracle Innovation Center, which helped customers implement Oracle IaaS and PaaS solution benefits, and Norway was rewarded for a series of successful projects with the advanced use of analytics. Finally, most recently, Accenture was recognized in Germany for its expertise in IaaS and in Italy for its systems integration expertise with the Oracle CX Cloud suite.
