Browzear Announces Open Platform for 3D Apparel

Browzwear announced today the launch of the Browzwear Open Platform. The Open Platform is the cornerstone of a program designed to enable fashion brands and retailers to leverage a growing ecosystem of integrated software solutions as part of their digital apparel process.

The apparel industry is currently transitioning from traditional, manual design and development to digital technologies and workflows that promise faster delivery, higher customer satisfaction, and greater sustainability. The ability to interact with accurate, 3D garments right from the design stage, all the way through to production and merchandising, is key to this transformation.

With the Open Platform, Browzwear is bringing together the many different solutions that can play a part in the digital process, and enabling them to leverage the power of 3D. Partners in the Open Platform program provide software for asset management, pattern design, costing, merchandising, showcasing, online shopping, workflow and more. For Browzwear partners, the program features the new Open Platform API, along with support for testing and development, and joint marketing initiatives. For brands and retailers, the program also includes advanced consulting and integration services that help organizations to design and implement a customized digital process successfully.

Here is what some Browzwear partners are saying about the Open Platform initiative:
“Browzwear’s 3D digital technology together with Dassault Systèmes’ Product Lifecycle Management solutions can streamline the way fashion companies design, develop and manufacture products.” Said Chris Colyer, VP Consumer Goods & Retail at Dassault Systèmes. “The Open Platform is an important step forward for the digital transformation of the fashion industry.”

“Browzwear’s true-to-life 3D design and development together with Modo’s photorealistic rendering gives designers the ability to showcase their garments effectively long before samples are available. Through the Open Platform, designers can now launch a Modo render with a single click,” said Shane Griffith, Product Marketing Manager, at Foundry.

“By integrating our GRAFIS 2D CAD software with Browzwear’s 3D prototyping, our customers can instantly simulate their patterns. The integration with Browzwear’s API allows simulation of style modifications to fit and design in seconds. Browzwear’s API provides a wide range of functions which allows this deep integration with our products.” Dr Kerstin Friedrich, Managing director at GRAFIS Software, Germany.

“Each of our customers has a unique process and we are committed ensuring that their digital transformation is a success,” said Sharon Lim, Browzwear CEO. “We created the Browzwear Open Platform program so that we can help every customer create the right solution for their business, through a combination of True-to-Life 3D, expert services, and complimentary products and technologies.”
