Perforce Software announced that less than six months after acquiring Seapine Software, the TestTrack ALM suite becomes part of the Helix portfolio expanding the integrated product development toolchain.

Helix ALM provides quality-centric application lifecycle management and product readiness, working concurrently with people, processes, and tools along the development pipeline. Helix ALM offers industry unique, seamless links between its three major functions – Requirements Management, Issue Management and Test Case Management. Teams can manage all product and system development phases and artifacts — from requirements and user stories through QA cycles and deployment — with just one solution.

In this latest 2017.1 release, Helix ALM users will discover a more streamlined, flexible way to configure integrations with source control applications, as well as an improved integration with the Helix Core versioning engine. This delivers a more seamless toolchain and a more efficient development workflow.

For JIRA users, the recently released Helix ALM for JIRA add-on shows the Helix ALM items associated with a JIRA issue. With this free add-on, users can view the current status of a Helix ALM test, requirement, user story, or issue without leaving JIRA.

Helix ALM joins Perforce's product family — Helix Core, for version control; Helix4Git, for Git at scale; and Helix Swarm, for code review and collaboration. Perforce acquired Seapine Software, the maker of TestTrack, in November of 2016.
