B-Stock Solutions Chosen as a 2017 Green Supply Chain Award Winner By Supply & Demand Chain Executive

B-Stock Solutions has been named a Green Supply Chain Award winner by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine for a third consecutive year. The award recognizes companies that support sustainability initiatives as a core part of their service offering and allow their customers to achieve measurable goals. B-Stock was selected for providing sustainable reverse supply chain solutions for its hundreds of clients in the form of B2B marketplaces that sell excess and obsolete merchandise across all conditions, including salvage and damaged. At the time of the award submission, over 105 million items had been sold across the B-Stock platform for repurposing, resale or recycling; this includes three million salvage/Grade D/scrap quality items.

"The reverse supply chain is truly a place where retailers and manufacturers can support sustainability initiatives. Even historically hard-to-sell merchandise like damaged or salvage items can find a second life and be repurposed," said Howard Rosenberg, CEO of B-Stock. "There is a big secondary market out there with business buyers interested in items across all categories and conditions, this includes many that are solely interested in recycling or repurposing salvage products for their own business needs. The key is the ability to find and sell directly to these buyers. We've spent years vetting and nurturing a dedicated base of over 100,000 business buyers from 135+ countries and are pleased to provide a direct sales channel between these buyers and our clients."

The 2017 Green Supply Chain Awards recognize companies making green or sustainability a core part of their supply chain strategy, and are working to achieve measurable sustainability goals within their own operations and/or supply chains, in the areas of Sourcing/Procurement, Fulfillment/Logistics, Operations, Product Lifecycle Management, and other areas of the supply chain. The awards also recognize providers of supply chain solutions and services assisting their customers in achieving measurable sustainability goals.
