Siemens PLM Connection – Americas will transition to Siemens from PLM World

Siemens and PLM World® announce today that the highly successful user conference, Siemens PLM Connection – Americas, will transition to being managed directly by Siemens. PLM World, the current user organization that manages the event, and Siemens have agreed to transition the event with an effective date of June 2019. PLM World will host the 2018 June event in Phoenix, Arizona as planned. The two organizations will continue to work together to enable users to maintain a strong voice influencing Siemens’ future software development and ongoing innovation.

Siemens PLM Software has undergone a substantial business transformation, with various acquisitions extending the company’s solution coverage beyond the traditional product lifecycle management (PLM) domain. The end goal of the transition will be to provide customers with a holistic platform for digital innovation across both the lifecycle and the enterprise.

“Given the continued expansion within Siemens PLM, this transition is the logical next step,” said Nathan Hartman, chairman, PLM World. “We look forward to continuing our relationship with Siemens; while the company focuses on the user events, our organization will transition to an educational role supporting the development of the next-generation digital manufacturing workforce.”

Over the last 41 years, the PLM World organization has successfully developed the Siemens PLM user community and offered quality educational opportunities through annual and regional user group events. Siemens intends to build on this strong foundation and expand community events to cover the broadened portfolio that the company now offers for the digital enterprise.

“Siemens very much appreciates what PLM World has achieved and our excellent working relationship,” said David Taylor, vice president of global marketing, Siemens PLM Software. “We look forward to continued support from the PLM World community, with the user voice always being integral to the direction of Siemens’ software development in the future.”

Additional details will be provided over the course of the transition period. For more information on Siemens PLM connection – Americas 2018 please see www.siemensplmconnectionamericas.org.
