Results have been mixed so far this year, but, as the pandemic eases, CIMdata believes the conditions exist to drive strong growth in the future. For the calendar year 2019, at $9.5 billion, the United States is the largest market and is forecast to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.7% through 2024. Japan’s PLM revenues were $4.4 billion and a CAGR of 8%. PLM revenues in Germany were $4.1 billion and a CAGR of 7.5%. These three countries have dominated the PLM market for years and will maintain that position. However, South Korea (at $742.6 million and a 8.1% CAGR) and the emerging PLM economies of Brazil, China, Russia, and India have great potential. CIMdata estimates the 2019 PLM revenues in Brazil were $302.3 million (7.2% CAGR), in India $724.4 million (9.7% CAGR), and in Russia $280.9 million (6.8% CAGR).” Mr. Przybylinski continued, “For 2019 CIMdata estimates PLM revenues in France at $1.76 billion with a CAGR of 7.6%, Italy at $649.8 million and 6%, and the United Kingdom at $1.21 billion and 6.8%.”
