Ann Arbor, MI, USA 28 July 2022—CIMdata is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a one-day PLM Road Map™ conference at the 2022 Global Product Data Interoperability Summit (GPDIS). GPDIS will take place as a live event at the McCormick Ranch Hotel, Scottsdale, AZ, on September 28 & 29 and PLM Road Map will take place the day before on Tuesday, September 27th. The theme for PLM Road Map is "Digital Transformation and PLM – a call for PLM Professionals to redefine and reposition the benefits and value of PLM."
Over the last decade, the pace of change in PLM-enabling technology has accelerated year over year, and this trend appears set to continue. Each year, the opportunity and challenge of emerging technologies and the widening value footprint of PLM confront PLM professionals. Compounding this challenge is the complicating overlay of the digital movement. And within the aerospace industries, customer expectations are dramatically increasing on both the commercial and the defense sides.
PLM Road Map @ GPDIS 2022 will illuminate these challenges and offer insights and examples of how they are being successfully addressed. Rather than focusing on how to evaluate the emerging trends, the event will focus on how industry leaders are getting ahead of the curve in a series of carefully curated sessions. Speakers will describe how they capitalize on emerging technologies, collaborate synergistically with digital transformation, and lead rather than react to their customers' new acquisition strategies and requirements.
Agenda topics will seek to answer the following questions:
- How do we transform our PLM implementations to align with dramatically shifting customer expectations, acquisition strategies, and requirements?
- What is the best use of PLM to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of agile yet resilient value chains and, in general, reduce and manage enterprise risk?
- How can PLM support the actionable enterprise, helping management teams to understand, make decisions, and reconfigure their workforce to manage the future?
- What is needed for the PLM community to achieve an interoperable system for data reuse and openness, enabling digital thread and digital twins throughout the lifecycle and across the value chain?
- How do we integrate PLM as part of strategic AI and Machine Learning investments?
