Government and Oracle sign new deal

The Crown Commercial Service (CCS), working on behalf of Government’s Technology Leaders, and Oracle have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will deliver additional savings for the taxpayer over the next three years. The new MoU builds on the previous agreement signed in 2012 and extends the scope to additional public sector bodies, including the NHS, and more products and services. Sally Collier, Chief Executive of CCS said: “The enhanced MoU will deliver savings across government and allow easier and more effective procurement of Oracle products and services. Synopsys, Inc. reported results for its third quarter of fiscal year 2015. For the third quarter of fiscal year 2015, Synopsys reported revenue of $555.8 million, compared to $521.8 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2014, an increase of 6.5 percent.   "Synopsys delivered strong third quarter results, and expects to exit the year with approximately 10% non-GAAP earnings per share growth," said Aart de Geus, chairman and co-CEO of Synopsys.  "Our new products are driving excellent customer design success and adoption momentum.
