Ravi Iyer’s presentation will provide detail on an industry-leading initiative—mapping the software to the product structure.
Ann Arbor, Michigan, 2 June 2015—CIMdata, Inc., the leading global PLM strategic management consulting and research firm, is pleased to announce that Ravi Iyer, Cisco Systems’ PLM Implementation Leader will make a presentation at PLM Road Map™ for the High Tech Electronics Community, which takes place on June 16th at the Biltmore Hotel & Suites in Santa Clara, California.
In recent years, we have seen that most of the products specific to the high tech industry have become increasingly complex, as software features have grown with the integrated hardware functionalities. This evolution calls for good traceability of both hardware and software components to be part of the Product Bill of Material. While the hardware related features are fairly mature to define in PLM, mapping the software functionalities as part of the product structure is an industry-leading initiative.
In his presentation, “Managing Software Components to the Product Structure,” Ravi Iyer will show how Cisco Systems was able to implement PLM to manage this successfully.
As Cisco Systems Supply Chain Operations PLM Implementation Leader, Ravi Iyer has implemented PLM solutions across multiple groups spread globally. He currently leads a team that is responsible for implementing software management processes in PLM, while extending PLM adoption throughout the enterprise.
PLM Road Map for the HTE Community is the must-attend event for HTE industry executives and PLM practitioners globally—providing independent education and a collaborative networking environment where ideas, trends, experiences, and relationships critical to the HTE industry germinate and take root.
