For more than 30 years, CIMdata has been working in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) industry. Our consulting services and research expertise are known around the world for their best-practice-based content. CIMdata's Private PLM Certificate Program leverages CIMdata's internationally recognized 5-day publicly offered PLM Certificate Program for Industrial Organizations, PLM Solution Providers, and PLM Service Providers — the PLM industry’s most comprehensive non-biased education and training offering for today’s PLM professionals.
The private program offers organizations an exclusive series of educational seminars that may be customized for specific industry or corporate needs.
To earn the CIMdata PLM Certificate of Leadership, participants must successfully complete all nine sessions in one of two ways:
CIMdata’s Private PLM Certificate Programs are available to industrial companies who are considering or implementing PLM, PLM solution and service providers, and PLM systems integrators. Public PLM Certificate Programs and advanced courses are also available; for more information contact CIMdata.
CIMdata’s Private PLM Certificate Program leverages CIMdata’s internationally recognized five-day PLM Certificate Program for Industrial Organizations, PLM Solution and Service Providers, and Systems Integrators. This assessment-based certificate program satisfies the main PLM education requirements of medium and large enterprises. The program also satisfies the main requirements of PLM solution and service providers, and Systems Integrators.
The Private PLM Certificate Program is delivered through a series of education and training sessions. All sessions are three-and-a-half hours long. The intent is to tailor the delivery of the program’s content to address any specific issues impacting the attendees.
The program is delivered over five consecutive business days. Each day runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with one mid-morning break, a lunch break, and one mid-afternoon break.
The certificate program includes a combination of lectures, industry case studies, individual and group exercises, and tests.
PLM Certificate Program attendees who successfully complete the program receive a Certificate of PLM Leadership from CIMdata.

PLM Road Map™ 2014 is the must-attend event for industry executives and PLM practitioners globally—providing independent education and a collaborative networking environment where ideas, trends, experiences, and relationships critical to the industry germinate and take root. The theme for this year’s conference is “PLM-enabled Continuous Product Development and Delivery for the Automotive & Transportation Industry and Supply Chain.”
Product development today is a set of discrete processes and deliveries around specifications and intellectual property (IP) exchange. Design reviews and delivery schedules drive IP development and exchange. Some industries are driving toward a more continuous model, with more synchronous collaboration and, in the case of software, continuous product delivery. Of course, software is not hardware or electro-mechanical. Continuous product development and delivery requires new technologies and work arrangements.
Speakers at PLM Road Map™ 2014 will provide examples from automotive, transportation, and other industries that highlight the people, process, and technology challenges in moving toward a more fluid, integrated continuous product development and delivery model.
Central to the mission and character of PLM Road Map is encouraging the continuous collaboration and synergistic innovation between all members of the PLM ecosystem, including industrial users, subject matter experts, software providers, consulting services firms, industrial and academic institutes, system integrators, and market analysts—all of whom are partners in realizing the vision and value of PLM, especially in the emerging, more sustainable circular economy.
CIMdata offers the PLM Benefits Appraisal and ROI Workshop to accelerate the financial justification of your PLM solutions. The workshop helps organizations that are actively exploring their options for PLM, or are planning to implement or expand a PLM solution as well as those who have implemented PLM and want to understand its impact on their business.
Understanding PLM benefits helps identify your needs, the PLM functionality and solutions best suited to support your requirements, and how PLM should be applied in your organization.
The PLM Benefits Appraisal and ROI Workshop is a two-day interactive work session that is facilitated by CIMdata consultants with the active participation of your company’s PLM project team. The workshop includes handouts of presentation materials, one copy of the current edition of CIMdata’s PLM Benefits Appraisal Guide, and a copy of CIMdata’s multiple spreadsheet ROI and benefits assessment model. This allows you to continue to use the model to refine and test your results or to execute additional appraisals.
The goals of the workshop are to:
